I think these dolls are pretty cool, but I don't know who is the right market to buy them. I think their appeal is probably to a group older than what would normally buy dolls. I don't know if my daughter would think they are cool or creepy. I guess I'll have to show her and see what she says.

Is masturbation gay? What about if someone can give themself oral? Now that's gotta be gay. Either way you are handling up on the sex organs of your own sex which is inherently gay. I'm just curious because although homosexuality hasn't been fully accepted in culture, masturbation basically has been. Everybody knows it goes on yet we still shake each others hands. Don't get me wrong. I don't do it. Never had to. I've always been able to get mine, but y'know some people do, and I don't judge them because I understand...but I still don't do it. Seriously, I don't!!! I almost did once, but then I got some and didn't need to anymore...so not guilty. OK, I might've accidentally done it once, but I don't think that counts. So this is really about other people and not me, because once again, I don't masturbate. Don't have to. For real.

David Blaine Goes for World Record in Lame-ness

How desperate is network television in America where they will take up an hour and a half of primetime television on crap like this. Do we have some reason to believe that David Blaine was going to be able to break this record? Is he more trained than professional swimmers and divers? Did anybody really want to see him live through this? It's a sad state of things when you make a living doing card tricks and then take a step down into taking up dares for money. David Blaine is like the network version of Bumfights. I expect his next "great stunt" will be to grow his fingernails longer than the world record or produce the world's largest dump.
For all you Blaine fans, seek help.

Long Weekend

For those of that check the progress of this site on any regular basis, I apologize for the long lay-off. I decided yesterday was as good a day as any to take the day off. So I called in, told my kids they weren't going to school, and for the most part took a free day to enjoy my new house. Yesterday was actually the one month anniversary of when we moved in and we hope to make it a second month. As you can see we've done a lot of work to the house and I'm pretty proud of the results. My son was extremely happy to plug himself into the Playstation for the next nine hours and fetter away his youth. My daughter was equally happy to attach herself to me and follow me around "helping" with whatever projects I was doing. I don't feel like I made the best use of my free time (no porn because of the kids) but at least my kids felt like they had a treat.

There are only two methods that I would consider for heading into the afterlife.

A Sign Your Getting Old
When the face you make on the toilet looks a lot like the face you make when having an orgasm.

I'm supposed to hear back today from a job I interviewed for last week. It looked like a good job and a good company, but I'm pretty pessimistic about my chances. While looking for jobs on the internet the other day it looked like the advertisement for the job I interviewed for had been re-posted. This usually means they aren't planning on moving forward with you and are hoping to find a better candidate. Still, I haven't heard from them yet and if I haven't heard anything by this afternoon I'll give them a call. This whole job search thing is a roller coaster ride from high expectations to depression and disappointment. I've been even more disappointed by the poor communication from companies that I've spoken with. At least half of them haven't even had the common courtesy to let me know if they are not interested. Personally, I think that's chicken shit of them. Especially if I've taken time off work to meet with them. Being in a profession where I continuously interview people and have to extend offers and declines, I'm even more offended when I don't see the same professionalism extended to me. Oh well, I still hold out hope.

A strange thing happened on the way to work today

After about twenty minutes into a traffic filled drive into a job that I am being laid off from, I said, "Screw it" and decided to destroy the world. So I stepped out of my car, put on my big hat, and commenced my project of consuming the world's resources. After about fifteen minutes of rampaging I was extremely annoyed to see that local authorities were telling me to cease and desist. I mean, damn you can't do anything anymore. So I used my optic blasts to show my displeasure. After about ten more minutes of rampant destruction traffic had cleared up, so I figured I'd better go on in so I could work on my blog. Maybe I'll finish eating the world for lunch, but I brought a tuna sandwich so it's a toss up.

I wish my blog was Asian, because then it would kick ass. I've looked at lots of Blogs now and per capita Asians are kicking the rest of the worlds butt at good looking blogs. They've got good style and LOTS of pictures. I'm starting to think that if you are an Asian student then you've probably had a digital camera implanted in your head. Don't get me wrong it's cool. I wish me and my blog were Asian, because then I'd be a cyborg and my blog and I would be one.

I've never heard of this band, but I think they are my new favorites.

I think they will be great for my kids' 7th birthday party.

When is it okay for kids to start cursing?
Children using swear words is generally frowned upon, but I know that at some point in life it becomes acceptable. When does it become ok for someone to use a "hell" or a "damn"? Is it sooner then using the other (more vulgar) curse words? Or does it stay something that people should never do in front of their parents?

How to Avoid Getting Fired
A manager in my office is getting fired today. He has been incompetent in his position and this should have actually happened a long time ago, but he has done a masterful job of delaying the inevitable. So for those of you who know the end is imminent, but need the income to last you a little longer her is what this guy has done: 1) Went out on Short Term Disability. He was set to be fired, knew that was the case then decided that he was too hurt to come into work the next day. He actually was injured, but that hadn't stopped him from coming in to work the two months prior to that. Because of the Short Term Disability he was able to continue getting paid for six more weeks without coming into work and with immunity from getting fired. 2) Have an incompetent HR Manager (Lots of them are)then find an excuse to leave the office. Upon his return to work today he dropped off his doctors release at the HR Managers office then left to take his company car to the dealership to get worked on, because it has been "acting up" on him. Wow that's an enigmatic problem for a car. No telling how long that takes to fix. He might have to be at the dealership all day for that. On top of that, if he gets hurt messing with his car that might make for a nice Work Comp Insurance claim which would protect him indefinately until that gets resolved. This guy hasn't been good at his job, but he's done great at keeping it.

More Blog surfing talk
I've looked through many random blogs now and have noticed a prevalence of anti-Bush sentiment out there. Now I'm not pro-Bush by any means, but I do stand up against thoughtlessness and banality. It appears that Bush has become a default subject for people to write about when they can't think of anything to put on their blogs. I know it's easy pickings as there seems to be a new dumb comment, scandal, or oppressive statement form him every day. Actually there are often multiple occurrences in a single day, but it's too easy. I'd like all Bush bloggers to take a step back look around and find something else in the world to talk about. For those of you that are American citizens try taking your vote a little more seriously next time. What did you think would happen?
I do like the artsy blogs, and the ones where people bring good ideas to the forefront. I even like the ones where people have updates about their families with lots of pictures. I don't know any of these people or half of what they're talking about, but it's much more interesting to see something that I don't know than something that I already know.
I'll try not to talk any more about Bush as I find the subject almost painstaking.

The Greatest Ancient Civilization
Being a man, I find myself besotted with hypothetical questions that take on seeming importance to me. Currently, I have been pondering what the greatest ancient civilization in human history was. I am leaning towards the ancient Egyptians at the moment, but am still unsure. You have to admit that style-wise they are way ahead of most of the cultures in the world. They had kick ass sandals, cool ruins, papyrus, lots of stuff pimped out in gold, most everybody liked them, and wicked awesome eye make-up. Even now we can still name off some of the kings and queens from that time and their style is still being copied today thousands of years later. I don't know what has happened to the Egyptians since then. They looked like such a promising culture. Some how they took a sharp turn from their fashionable ways. I mean, have you seen the way they dress now??? Oh well, maybe all the cool Egyptians moved to L.A. or something.

Blog Surfing
As some may know, my new time waste at work while wait to be laid off has become BLOG surfing. I use the "next blog" button at the top of the page and see where it takes me. Undoubtedly a few of the people that find this blog did the same thing. I enjoy seeing what unknown individuals have felt neccessary to communicate to the world. Yes, it looks like the boys of summer are back!! It's baseball season and even in the wintery reaches up north folks are catching baseball fever and heading outdoors to swing the bat and knock the dust off the old mitt!! I personally get a mad jones for America's pastime come February every year which isn't satiated until well into summer. I haven't been out to the ballpark yet to catch a game, but I can't wait to get out there and have that first hotdog of the season. We're a few weeks into the season and where as a few teams have shown that they won't likely be competing in the World Series most of the teams are still very much in it. So take a lesson from this guy and partake in baseball!!!

Dallas Cup Final Thoughts
The Dallas Cup Final was on Sunday with the Dallas Texans playing against Santos Laguna. The game started off furiously with both teams scoring in the first few minutes. Santos went up 2-1 before the Texans finally took over and won the game 4-2. I couldn't help feeling bad for Santos, because although the refereeing was ok in this game they still had to suffer the effect of the calls in the last game. Their back up goalie was clearly not as good as their starter (who was red carded in the last match) and they suffered from the loss of one of their other starting defensemen (also previously red carded). The Texans played a good game and clearly have some talent, but their route to winning the finals left something to be desired. The Santos fans stayed after the game to cheer for their team who had played a hard game, but I felt that the tournament ended on a relatively disappointing note.

Dallas Cup Update II
For all those uncounted millions that want to know how the Dallas Cup resolved, all I can say is, "Not according to plan". In game one of the semi-finals we saw the Dallas Texans play CF Monterrrey. The Texans played a very defensive minded game, held multiple defenders back and seemed determined not to let Monterrey's speed beat them. At half time the game was 0-0 and I commented that Monterrey would probably really push to score before the end of regulation as they had dominated the first half. The refs had called a pretty poor game up to that point and seemed slanted towards helping out the local team, but the calls got inexorably worse in the second half. The Texans were allowed a lot more leeway and Monterrey was called for ticky tack stuff. The game remained 1-0 until late in the second half when the referees award the Texans a PK after their star player took a brilliant dive. I'm not even sure if the defender made contact before the player went sprawling, but at that point it was too late. The Texans buried the PK and burned out the rest of the clock.
In the second semi-final the penalty calls went from bad to worse. Manchester United was given every advantage, but still Santos Laguna prevailed. Santos had gone up 2-1 in the second half when their goalie got hurt (apparently a blow to the face). It appeared to be somewhat serious as several people were huddled around him for a few minutes. A few minutes after the restart the Santos goalie took another hard fall to protect the goal and upon getting up was obviously hurtting. He was in so much discomfort that he threw the ball straight out of bounds and collapsed to get the ref to stop the game for a minute. The ref glanced at him once and then signaled for Man U to throw in while the goalie was still on the ground at the edge of the goal box. The Santos supporters roared in outrage as Man. U. was allowed to resume it's attack while the goalie was prone. The Santos defenders did a good job holding off the shots until they could deflect the ball in the air and their goalie could make it to his feet and grab the ball. At this point he was outraged and might have been jostled more by a Man U player and he kicked out at one that was passing by. The ref quickly blew his whistle and gave the goalie a red card and awarded Manchester a PK. While he booked the goalie he also took displeasure to the remarks one of the other Santos players was making and red carded him as well. Manchester tied the game on the PK and Santos had to play the rest of the match down two players and with their second string goalie. From there on it was a test of survival for Santos. They somehow managed wave after wave of Manchester attck until regulation ended and they went into OT. In OT it looked like more of the same. Man U making attack after attack and it looked like we were just waiting for the inevitable. It looked like all Santos could do was try to hang on and win it with PK's at the end. Finally with less than two minutes left in OT. Santos connected with a long pass to their left striker. He looked weary as he made feint after feint and moved steadily closer down the field. I don't know if the Manchester defender was caught off balance or whether he thought that they wouldn't really take a shot as they had been content just to clear the ball and run at the clock, but he never displaced the ball. Finally the attacker took a shot from the left wing and sailed past the goalies diving and outstreched arms. The crowd erupted and Santos won. The Santos fans immediately started blowing their horns and beating their drums. They celebrated in the stadium into the parking lot and out onto the street. Easily the best sporting event I've ever attended. Loads of fun. The next day I went out and bought a Santos jersey so that I could support them in their finals match. I'll update you all on the finals later. I've got to get to work now.
