Throw Your Hands Up

It's summer time!!! School is out for the kids and today is their first day of vacation. What does this mean for me? How about an extra half hour of sleep in the mornings? That do anything for you?

Besides that, I don't have to worry for a few months about whether the kids are doing their school work. Less stress is always a good thing and I am thrilled to be without this one for a little while. Plus, even though I don't get a long summer break like they do, I still have that same wave of euphoria that I used to get. I guess my body got so trained to enjoy the summer break that even when I don't get one anymore the feeling is still there.

Now I've just got two more weeks of the kids dance practice before the recital and then I am in the clear. At least till summer dance, soccer, and of course music lessons never seem to stop. Not to mention special camps and stuff that the kids do over the summer. The girl wants to go to a sculpting camp. I don't even know if there is such a thing. The boy wants to go to a science camp and build robots. That crap is expensive. Then there's swimming, trips, and extra library visits......Oh God!!!! I am stressed out again. I can't wait till school starts back up!

SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER!

Gyuss - School's out forever!!

I sang this to my kid the other day and she informed me that school wasn't really out forever, but would start back up in a few months.

You've got some smart kids. That must skip a generation.

They have year-round schools where I live...I am seriously considering it!

I always wanted to go to space camp when I was little. That was the big thing. Everyone goes to 4H camp here now. They teach them to survive in the wilderness.

Gyuss - I hope you die soon!!!!

Tera - I don't think I can handle that. My kids know too much already. They look at me like I'm stupid when I don't know some random historical figure now, or like last night when my son was telling me about how male snakes wrestle for dominance to determine which will mate with the female. He seemed to think that I was an idiot for not knowing all of this already. So I called him four-eyes, gave him a wedgie, then shoved him on the ground.

Susan - I don't even mention Space Camp or want it mentioned around my kids. I'm pretty sure that has got to be expensive.

Dagromm, don't you support 'thinking real hard about one thing' camps?

Dagromm, I am totally offended by your stance on that subject...

Q - Huh??

Q - And double huh? You've out thought yourself this time my friend.

Since your children are interested in history, dagromm, you should ask them if they'd be interested in "child slavery camp". In this exciting camp, they can clean, cook, cut the grass and anything else that is seen fit. It'd make them appreciate how children must feel in sweat shops around the world.

Has it become painfully obvious to anyone why I don't have children yet?

Susan, 'cause you can't make a baby through oral sex?

Susan said...

Q, THANK GOD. The planet would be overrun.

Q said...

So if you were to get impregnated by oral sex, would the baby come out through your mouth? Just wondering...

Q said...

Dagromm, I believe that is the first time Q and the phrase 'out thought yourself' have ever been used in conjunction with each other...

Camp Child Slavery started in the fringe household this morning. They worked for 15 minutes and are on a 4-hour PS2 break. I'm the worst overseer ever.

Dagromm, you NEVER cease to amaze me!

Fringe, you are the coolest!!!!!!

Q: This is an interesting question. I wonder which way would be more painful to birth a child. If only I could dislocate my jaw like a anaconda..

Fringes: Come be my boss.

Susan - You're an idea person. I like idea people.

Q - Thank you for saying it so I didn't have to.

Susan - That is awesome!

Q - I think they would come out of your butt. That's just an educated guess though.

Q - Or thought at all, really.

Fringes - My kids can't work five minutesd without claiming that they need a break. I think they get that from their mother.

Tera - Thanks, I made my son tell me the same thing while I was giving him the wedgie.

Susan - See above. Mouth babies come out the butt. If you could dislocate your jaw like an anaconda, you might just be perfect. Just sayin'.

Dagromm, I went to Space Camp, should I bring my pictures and show them to your kids when I come to visit next month?

Susan said...

I'm going to get to working on this dislocating trick. If successful, video shall follow.

Wait, now it sounds like I'm making "home movies".

Dagromm said...

Gyuss - Did you really?? Now that's two things I'm jealous of you for.

Susan - Think of the tips you'd get if you learn to pull that trick off at will. I'm dieing to see the video of you just trying to do it.

how about "doing shit around the house camp"?

Q said...

CyberD, don't you have 'ride the help around the house' day camp every summer? You could let Dagromm's kids come over for that.

Dagromm, don't let them go on soggy biscuit Saturday's though, I still can't get that image out of my head...

To hear you talk about your family is like reliving my own suburban life in the 80s/90s... I can't imagine how my parents did it all and stayed sane.

Oh, that's right. They aren't.

You still seem to be. Congrats.

Dagromm said...

Cyber D - You're out of bounds. You're not allowed to talk about my kids.

Q - My kids will not be attending any events with Cyber D's indentured servants.

Heather - You were missed.

Kofi - Thanks for the sneak peek into my grim future. Hopefully the meds are better now.

Perhaps they should have taken my advice and taken some.

Kofi - Thanks to the internet they are much easier to get now. Lucky me!
