Ahhhh Yes. The Old Make a Movie Out of a Syndicated TV Show Trick!

I was all set to blog about any number of different ideas and notes that I've been meaning to get to for a while when I stumbled across this news last night and had to look for more information.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0425061/

This has potential to be really good or really terrible. I like the cast so far, I'm just worried about the writing/directing.

I can't begin to explain my obsession over this show. I can't believe I missed that it's being made into a movie.

The previews for it look funny! And it has THE Rock in it. Blockbuster...

Steve Carrell has my faith in this role.

Susan - This is my all time favorite show of all time, ever. I can't believe I didn't know anything about it either.

Q - I know. It's like all of the great powers in the universe or coming together at one point. This is probably the highpoint of human civilization. It's also got Terry Crews who played Big Black Jack in Norbitt.

Gus Bladder - I don't have a huge amount of faith in him, but hopefully he will try to make Agent 86 his own character and not try to impersonate Don Adams. That's the only way that I think that it will work.

I'm pretty excited. Even though they usually screw up the series remakes.

Churlita - I don't know, I thought that the Dukes of Hazzard remake was.....oh damn.

When they do that, it usually sucks...except Scooby Doo.

Tera - And Starsky and Hutch, because they stuck to the truth of the shows.

s and h was pretty good, scooby's a cartoon and a bit easier to switch between the two but if they screw this one up too i'm gonna be pissed.

not that that will change anything, but still.

i'm sooo saddened. :-(

I just thought of a good one.

The Brady Bunch Movie
and
A Very Brady Sequel

Both very very good.

Gyuss - Those are actually the first ones that I think of. I thought they were really good about having some fun with the series without killing it.
