I Found It!!!!
With a little hard work and ingenuity I was able to find the picture that CNN had up the other day in the Teenage Girls with Venereal Diseases article.
I found it on the Black Folks Community Live Journal along with this great comment.
What I'm upset about besides these staggering numbers, is that the image used is of a Black teen aged guy and a White teen aged girl....does anyone else find that strange? She's fully dressed, he has no shirt on. There's no rap posters on the wall so I guess they're in her room....
Hopefully, the IT department at work won't ask why I was googling "teenage girls pics" or "black guys with white girls".

looks more like a hotel room than that of a teenage girl.
and yeah, i see why this is offensive when used as the picture for the aforementioned article. it makes it look like it's all the black man's fault that 'innocent' little white girls are getting std's.
yeah right. last i checked it takes two.
Wow. I hadn't seen the photo and I'm glad you found it. I can see why people would be so upset.
Actually, it looks like her parents' bedroom.
Ugh. Stupid media.
Wait, Heather, let's think of what this photo would be a good accompaniment to...
Isn't this a promotional still for the newest remake of "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner"? Oh wait, I meant "Romeo and Juliet". "A Star is Born"? The next season of "Everybody Hates Chris"?
This is the inherent problem with stock photography it can mean anything.
Heather - Especially because CNN doesn't even use pictures for a large number of their articles, so why they felt the need to do it with this one looks bad.
Nore - I think you're probably right. It's her parents room.
Nore - I have no idea what you're talking about.
Goo - How about Save the Last Dance 2?
Thanks for the research. Now it all makes sense.
It does seem like an odd choice. Are the IT guys in your office looking at you differently?
Wow, the blatant rascism of that picture going with that article floors me.
"Your little girls are getting STD's, and it's a black man's fault!"
Is she holding him by his ears? It seriously looks like it..
Okay, I'll totally buy "Save the Last Dance 2", but it looks to me like they set the movie in that town from "Footloose" where there's no dancing allowed, but every kid in school is sporting an infectious sexually transmitted disease.
Kofi - I don't mind what so ever. I felt that the people should know.
Churlita - Not really. HR and IT sort of have a circle of trust that cannot be broken at any cost.
Gus - I think that's what you can easily infer from the way it was set up.
Susan - Of course she is. That's how it's done.
Goo - If every kid already had the STD, then why not dance? What are you worried about contracting then?
Dagromm, I think your IT department would be a little more upset about your constant google search for "Big Boobed Bang-A-Roo II".
Satan!
Q: Why don't Baptists have pre-marital sex?
A: Because it might lead to dancing!
kofi, the real reason dags didn't mind is that he's been pretending he's one of the great crusaders from any number of movies or rpgs that he's been in his glory.
dags, is it a circle of trust or do the two departments simply have the same amount of dirt on each other that that alone negates (most) wrong doing on the other departments part?
Cyber D - Or "Butt Bongo Fiesta"
Goo - I contracted a bad case of Satan once, but it was just a 24 hour thing.
Gus - I don't get it.
Heather - That's what a circle of trust is.
Goo, btw, thanks for running with that.
This is an outrage!!!
Nore - I don't know what your comment has to do with me.
Tera - I agree. What was Nore thinking?
and j was certian you'd have no clue what i was talking about. sometimes the trains my mind takes and the paths my conversations wander confuse the hell out of him. :-)
I appreciate you ringing the alarm, Dagromm, sir! We folk of color can't do it alone--we're too easily dismissed as having a chip on our shoulders, or playing the race card.
Good lookin' out.
Now adding you to my blogroll...
