Election Fever!!

Each election I get a little more interested and presumably a little more informed of the candidates running. I don’t know if this is a sign of maturity as much as it is a sign of boredom and looking for some new thing to pass the time. Kind of like the Olympics. It’s only once every four years, so I can suspend disbelief for a few months and pretend that I’m interested in things like shot put, gymnastic floor routines, or tax relief for eco friendly companies.

I knew that I would vote democrat, but wasn’t sure which candidate was right for me. Hillary or Barack. I find it interesting that the Democratic candidates are known to us by their first names. We don’t think about the Republican candidates as John, Mitt, and Mike. They are McCain, Romney, and Huckabee. They are not on a first name basis with the common man. They don’t want to be. Is it just me or does McCain look like the generic “evil/corrupt politician” from the movies?

Anywho, I was sent the candidate profile test and found that I’m 90% Barack vs. 70% Hillary so I guess that’s that. So now I will be promoting the ObamaNation. I’ll push for the one true Obama, the uni-Bama, if you will. Go America!

I haven't taken the test but I'm an Obama kind of guy. Mainly because I'm on board with Gyuss' best friend: Obama Girl. Is it just me or does John McCain strike you as someone who, if you looked behind his ears, you'd find some dried up steak grissle back their?

Heather - I'm starting to suspect that no matter what you pick it'll tell you you're 100% Obama.

Gyuss - I'm becoming more convinced.

Heather - You're right, so that means he can't accuse you of stealing his testicles either.

Heather - It's not so much whether somebody did steal them so much as why somebody would?

Cyber D - John McCain looks like Mr. Big from the hit motion picture Pootie Tang.

Mine kept telling me to vote for huckabee but that could be because chuck norris is running my computer....

I didn't realize that chuck norris was so awesome that his tears cure cancer. Wow, Huckabee has my vote!

Dagromm, are you sure that he doesn't look like Dick Lector? I looked over CyberD's shoulder when he was taking his and he was 100% Romney. We are no longer friends.

Wait. Is Chuck Norris running? He would kick so much ass.

I'm an Obama girl. He was in Iowa a lot before the caucuses and he had really great things to say.

Wow, you make a good point (first name vs. last name thing)...who'd have thunk it?!?!?

Okay...off to take the test...I will report back!

Tera said...

It was so TOTALLY Obama!

I think it tipped the scales when I told the test I was totally on board with polygamy!!!

Obama all the way. He is smarter, more honest, and did not participate in making all the mistakes that have put the country where it is today. Besides, I believe he has a better chance at beating any of the Republicans than Hillary. While I think she would also be a good president, I am afraid that her association with Bill and some bad press during her career will keep too many folk from voting for her.

Okay--I finally took the quiz: 90% Obama, 70% Clinton, 20% McCain, 10% Huckabee, and 10% Paul. I am pleased to see that my gut feeling matched the numbers.

Susan - If I was going to go Republican I'd probably go Huckabee, because I respect Chuck Norris so much.

Cyber D - It's understandable. There's a lot about Chuck Norris to know.

Q - Thanks for the correction.

Churlita - If C. Norris was running there is no doubt that he would win.

Tera - I'm proud of you. I'd be disappointed if you weren't.

Cyber D - You're the only one of us who could afford it.

JAZ - I'm truthfully not sure that either of them would be able to defeat the latent prejudices that are rampant in our society, but I sure hope so.
